mojo 148

Do you have an image in your head of how you want your card to turn out, but 9 times out of 10 it doesn't look anything like you had imagined? Or is it just me? Well, this is number 10 of 10. It actually looks like I had imagined. When I saw this week's Mojo Monday sketch, I knew exactly what stamps, paper and dies I wanted to use. I don't know about you, but that like never happens to me.

The main image is from the Up, Up and Away set from Verve and I colored it with Copics. All the patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Oliver paper pad. For the clouds and the eyelet border, I used Papertrey Ink's dies. I thought they were a perfect fit for the card!

Thanks for stopping by!

mojo 147

I can't remember the last time I did one of Julee's Mojo Monday sketches. I thought I would pull out some older Verve stamps too. For the patterned paper, I used a combination of October Afternoon's Fly a Kite and SEI's Happy Day that my mom got me for my birthday. I stamped the stars and colored them with my Copics. I oh so carefully cut them out and mounted them with foam tape on the white squares. I tried to match the colors of the Copics with the paper the best I could. (Note to self...need to buy more Copics!)

Sorry for the bad lighting. It's almost dark here and I couldn't take it in my usual spot.
Just a quick post because I'm almost at the deadline for entering this bad boy! Thanks for stopping by!

i'm still here

Nothing like a great Papertrey Ink set to get me out of retirement. When I saw the Up, Up & Away set, I knew I had to have it! Another reason it's so great is that now they have custom dies that coordinate with them. How cool is that?

This is obviously a birthday card. I used patterned paper from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite pad and aforementioned stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I colored the balloon with my Copics and sprinkled a little glitter on it and around the edge of the clouds. Mounted everything together and voila! I also used this week's Splitcoast sketch. I wasn't too crazy about it, but I think it works.

I don't know about you guys, but summer has been crazy. With the kids at home, I've become the entertainment director or else they become a little stir crazy. We've been doing a lot of swimming, going to the movies and I'm trying to get them to do some arts and crafts stuff too. My daughter loves doing it, but my son...not so much. Anyway. Thanks for stopping by!
