where do i start?
It's been a busy past couple of months. Along with being 8 months pregnant, we moved into a new house two days before Christmas. Packing and unpacking has been so much fun! The good news about moving is you get rid of a lot of stuff. For the most part, everything is unpacked. Some stuff I can't unpack yet because we're having some minor construction done inside, like these bookshelves in the family room, and I need to put that stuff in them. They turned out really nice.
At the top of the stairs, there is a loft that will be the kids tv/play area. There was only a railing separating part of the room from a drop downstairs, so we had the railing taken out and a wall with about a 4x6 opeing built. Our plan is to put 3 stained glass windows in, but we can't decide on a design. So to temporarily fill the opening so we can at least finish off the walls and paint and install new carpet upstairs, we're just going to put some glass in.
There are a lot of little things we're going to change in this house, but we can only do so much at a time. We just wanted to get some of the major cosmetic things out of the way before the baby comes. Her room is almost finished! It's hard to see in the picture, but the curtains are alternating pink and white gingham and solid pink. The crib skirt is pink and white gingham as well, so it matches perfect!
I still want to paint some little stuff on the wall that compliments the bedding. My mother-in-law is going to help me do that because I can't draw!
We had some great snow fall yesterday!
I took Ethan out in it, but he didn't seem all that enthused. It looked really pretty though. Well, I'm off to do more stuff!
