i never thought...

I would be one of those idiot woman drivers until I did this yesterday.

I pulled into the garage and was shocked at my stupidity. You can kind of see Ethan in the picture covering his eyes like, "Mommy, what did you do?" I think I was suffering from rectal-cranial inversion..much like this guy.

Thank God it was only temporary. I seem to be back to normal today!

busy, busy, busy

Gosh...I can't believe it's been a month since my last post. Time just flies. We (I mean me) have been busy fixing up the house. We had the outside painted and some new doors installed. Both the doors that led to the back yard were gnawed on by our mastiff, Pete, because one night we was afraid of thunder. He's such a big chicken! Needless to say, the new doors looks so much better. I had wanted to start remodeling one of the bathrooms, but the guy that has been doing work for us wants a small fortune. So I guess I'm going to have to shop around.

I hope everyone had a nice 4th. The weather was kind of yucky, so we couldn't go swimming. We did go over to a friend's house and ate backyard burgers. We watched the first Independence Day launch of the Space Shuttle on TV. It's amazing how fast that thing goes in such a short period of time. It takes only 8 minutes for it to reach over 17,000 mph. Here are some great pictures from NASA's website and a few of Ethan.

Well, I tried to take Ethan to his first movie a few weeks ago...Cars. We were there about an hour and had to leave. He wanted to get up and move around and make noise much like he does when he watches a movie at home. I'm sure the people around us wouldn't have appreciated it, so we left. It kind of sucks for me because I watched the movie up to that point and was gipped out of the ending. I guess I'll have to go see it by myself when he's at Mother's Day Out. Kind of ironic. Sneaking off to see a kids' movie while the kid's in school.

Ethan and I went to the mall last week and somehow ended up in the Disney store. They were having a huge sale. He got mostly Chicken Little toys. He LOVES Chicken Little. I bought this little toy cell phone and a Chicken Little and Fish Out of Water action figure. I also bought him a Lightning McQueen stuffed thingy...can't really call it an animal...from the Cars movie.

Last, but not least, for your viewing pleasure...a couple of layouts I have finished over the past couple of weeks.
